Kiersten Miller
Teacher of Art, Design, and Visual Communications
When the 2023-24 school year began and Kiersten Miller entered the classroom as the new Art, Design and Visual Communications teacher, it was truly a full circle moment for her. Kiersten had graduated from the very same program at Bixhorn Technical Center before becoming an Eastern Suffolk BOCES employee as a Graphic Designer. After five years as a designer, she learned her teacher and mentor was retiring as the Art, Design and Visual Communications teacher. Kiersten decided to step back into the familiar classroom, this time as the teacher. Kiersten believes that “Luck is being prepared when opportunity knocks,” and she has taken advantage of all the opportunities that became open to her since first attending Eastern Suffolk BOCES as a high school student.
