Holiday Card POWER Team Initiative

Mr. Shepherd, our plumbing teacher, is an officer of the Massapequa Elks Lodge which supports kids with cancer and cerebral palsy, as well as veterans and active duty troops.  As part of our building level DEI team, Mr. Shepherd asked if we would hand write Christmas/Holiday cards to be sent to soldiers who are currently deployed and will not be home for the holidays. With the help for our BTC Power team we exceeded our goal of 500.  558 cards will bring holiday joy active duty troops across the world!

Below, please find the final bucket of cards collected from BTC students and a picture of a card that was made by a carpentry student.  Students were given an option to use stock cards or design personalized ones.
