Animal Science 2 Collaborates with Islip Animal Shelter

The Animal Science 2 class collaborated with Islip Animal Shelter to groom four adoptable dogs just in time for the holiday season. Students practiced their skills working with various coat types and addressing each pets varied needs, while providing these dogs with some extra TLC. Most of these adoptable dogs have not been at the shelter for more than a few months; however, the small brown and white staffordshire terrier has been at Islip for over a year. Students provided grooming report cards to the shelter Animal Care Officer to help showcase the good behaviors of these pets in hopes to help in their future adoption.
