• Welcome to the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology.  Our Department creates opportunities for all students by providing them with the technical and academic skills needed to prepare for future employment and a successful path to college or other post secondary programs.
This year, In addition to the broad array of programs previously available in Career and Technical Education, we have added new courses in advanced manufacturing and engineering and will continue our focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing) curriculum. The Academy will continue to place emphasis on improving programs and affordability and strive to ensure rigor and relevance in each of our programs.
In addition to preparing our students for workforce, we place major emphasis on preparing students for college.  Whether a high school student aspires to work right out of high school or enter college, the Academy will provide them with the tools for both college and career readiness.
National research* indicates that students who pursue a technical endorsement in high school:
    a.  earn higher test scores
    b.  are more likely to graduate high school
    c.  are  more likely to persist in college
    d.  are more likely to gain employment in their career field after college.
Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions while reviewing this website.  We welcome any comments that you may have and appreciate your assistance in providing students, parents and district personnel with the most current information available on the Academy’s programs.
