PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY & TV, VIDEO & FILM PRODUCTION STUDENTS VISIT EAP PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO
Posted by Bixhorn Tech News on 12/18/2018December 17, 2018, students attending the Professional Photography & Digital Imaging, and TV, Video and Digital Film Production classes visited EAP Photography & Video located in Port Jefferson. For over 30 years, EAP has provided quality photography and videography for dance schools, dance competitions, elementary, middle, high schools, and sports leagues throughout the United States. The students toured the facility and had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge regarding photo shooting, processing, editing, in-house printing, and social media management. The students also had the opportunity to develop a relationship with EAP as a potential internship site and receive insite into possible career opportunities.

Academy Students Receive "Best in Show" at Arts Forum

Four students from the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology received “Best in Show” distinctions at the recent Long Island Media Arts Show held in Dix Hills at the Five Towns College campus. The Academy is the Career and Technical Education Program of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and has schools in Oakdale, Bellport, and Riverhead.
One Academy student was recognized for his work in the videography category and three were recognized for their art in the photography division. The Long Island Media Arts Show provides a forum for high school students across the region to showcase their graphic arts, photography, and videography in an environment where they receive evaluations from experienced judges who work in these fields. Students receive feedback from industry professionals and view the work of their peers from across Long Island. The show has been produced by the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Arts-in-Education Department, a program that integrates the arts into K-12 curriculum to enhance learning, for the past 28 years.
