One Academy student was recognized for his work in the videography category and three were recognized for their art in the photography division. The Long Island Media Arts Show provides a forum for high school students across the region to showcase their graphic arts, photography, and videography in an environment where they receive evaluations from experienced judges who work in these fields. Students receive feedback from industry professionals and view the work of their peers from across Long Island. The show has been produced by the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Arts-in-Education Department, a program that integrates the arts into K-12 curriculum to enhance learning, for the past 28 years.
