Mr. Polis has reported that five students from our Suffolk Aviation Academy have each been awarded a $500.00 scholarship from the prestigious Bayport Aerodrome Society "Ensuring the Future through our Youth' scholarship.  The Bayport Aerodrome Society was established in 1972 and its membership consists of aviation professionals, recreational pilots, and people interested in preserving aviation history.  As a unique "living museum," they have a variety of antique aircraft flying on the field.  These include Bi-Planes, Champs, Cubs and others.  Members share their special passion for aviation with community by offering tours of the Aerodrome and hosting a variety of Social Events on-site.  A sincere and heartfelt thank you goes out to all the members of the Bayport Aerodrome Society Scholarship committee and congratulations to Derek Mannhart, Katelyn Beharry, Juan Prada, Connor Burke, and Albert Hernandez on their outstanding accomplishment.

October 4, 2017, students attending the Professional Pilot Training program attended Bayport Aerodrome where they interacted with crew members and developed their appreciation for aviation history.
