Milliken Technical Center
Recognition Day 2020
It is with heavy heart that I deliver the disappointing news that our Recognition Day ceremony will be pre-recorded and delivered on a virtual platform that is yet to be determined. To maintain the health and safety of our students, families, faculty and staff we will create a presentation that you will be able to view from home.
Recognition Day is a day we celebrate our students who worked hard to develop their skills, knowledge and professionalism all the while meeting standards set forth to encourage their success. It is often a joyful experience shared with family and friends. The excitement in the air is palpable and the prideful emotions are enough to give you goosebumps. We are heartsick not to see our students and families celebrate this momentous occasion together. We realize that a prerecorded recognition of the students' accomplishments without the students present does not come close to what they are deserving of. However, we will work to create a meaningful piece that applauds the efforts and honors the strength that our students have demonstrated during this unprecedented time.
Once the recording is approved and posted a message will go out to students and families with instructions on how to access it. Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, patience and support.Letter From The Principal

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
As we navigate through this unprecedented time in history our daily routines are being impacted in significant ways. At the moment, Milliken Technical Center is operating at a minimized capacity for only necessary administration and staff. During this time we will be providing a continuity of instruction through multiple delivery methods. Teachers have worked diligently to prepare lessons, activities, and assignments as a means to deliver engaging content with as minimal disruption to the educational experience as possible.
Currently, Milliken Tech is closed to students through April 1, 2020. Although the facility is closed during this time, our classes will still be in session with remote / distance learning methods in place. According to program and teacher, materials have been mailed home and Google Classrooms have been established. The expectancy is that all students participate and complete the assignments provided during the time our building is closed. Student work will be reviewed and graded as it would during a regular school week.
At this point in time, all of our instructors have made several attempts to contact their students to make them aware of their expectancies and program assignments. If you have questions, or have not been contacted please reach out to the appropriate teacher at the email listed below for further instructions.
