• Business and Industry Partnerships are Vital to Our Work in Preparing Tomorrow's Workforce

Strong business and education partnerships enable our Career and Technical Programs to stay informed of employment needs and trends. Hundreds of representatives of business, industry and secondary and higher education serve on our school's Advisory Committees and work closely with our faculty and staff. Such efforts keep programs current and help us to develop new courses and curricula.

Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology is always seeking new business and community partners to assist us in the following ways:

    • Promote community understanding of Career and Technical Education

    • Identify training needed for student success

    • Provide speakers and demonstrators for class curriculum

    • Offer feedback for new ideas

    • Provide work experience opportunities for students including: tours, shadowing, paid and non-paid co-ops

    • Serve as proctors for National Certification Exams

    • Inform our graduates of career opportunities
